A recent award from the State of Indiana through the Indiana 21^st Century Research and Technology Fund has created start-up and career opportunities in technology and product development. The selected candidate will be a key contributor to the development of technology and products related to polymer composites, smart structure, and multifunctional structure for use in the aerospace, automotive, and renewable energy markets.

Qualifications

• Must have a two year degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• Strong preference given to candidates with combined majors in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Must have solid skills, practical sense, and interest needed for hands-on fabrication of high quality prototype systems.
• Strong preference given to candidates with experience or knowledge in advanced composites with interest in smart and multifunctional structures. 
• Prefer experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) using Solidworks. 
• Prefer experience in electronic circuits and circuit board fabrication.
• Must be highly creative with strong problem solving skills and inherent ability to conceptualize innovative and practical solutions.
• Prefer candidate with an interest in the Aerospace, Automotive, or Renewable Energy Industry.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
