Odyssian is involved in developing technology and products for both the military and commercial marketplace .Exciting work is underway in the development of novel power access and control systems for use in military shelters, and a smart oil & gas (O&G) pipeline system capable of point-of-source leak detection and health monitoring. About the Opportunity

The selected candidates will be key contributors to the development of technology and future products related to computerized power distribution and load control systems, smart O&G pipeline systems having integrated leak detection and structural health monitoring sensors, and various other products involving the integration of subsystems into structure, housing, and devices.

 

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to contribute in one or more of a multitude of areas, including;

·          Designing digital and analog electronic circuits for use in distributed controller networks

·          Writing embedded code [software] for microprocessors using C++ programming language

·          Developing wired and wireless local area sensor and processor networks

·          Developing and testing highly integrated sensor systems

·          Developing graphic user interfaces (GUI) and backend communication and data processing software programs for web-based control & monitoring systems

 

Required Qualifications

·          B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Electrical Engineering

(A degree is not required if the candidate can show a strong aptitude toward self-learning and can demonstrate the required skills and a comprehensive understanding of Electrical Engineering principles)

·          Highly competent, driven, and ambitious

·          Highly creative with aptitude toward innovative product development

·          Strong interest in the challenge and career potential of joining a high technology business

Preferred Skills

Selected candidates will have training, experience or demonstrated aptitude for some of the following;

·          Design of digital and analogue electronic circuits

·          Computer aided electronic design - preferably using Altium Designer

·          Wired CAN or wireless Zigbee sensor networks

·          Embedded programming for microprocessors

·          Micro-sensors such as micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), microprocessors

·          Computerized power distribution and load control systems

·          Programming using C, C++, JAVA, PHP, Linux Operating Systems,SQL, HTML and JavaScript
