Small Unmanned Air Vehicles
Talus X-1 The Talus X-1 is a hand launched electric air vehicle having multifunctional structure and energy harvesting design attributes to maximize flight time. The use of multifunctional structure provides increased payload capacity while minimizing weight. This vehicle offers considerable increase in endurance over comparable military systems. Derivative aircraft and power system designs are being pursued that will further increase flight time. Reconfigurable multi-band antenna are structurally integrated to support multiple payload options. Primary military applications include persistent surveillance over fixed assets and ground-to-ground communications support. Primary non-military applications include search and rescue, border patrol, and security of large area compounds/campus.
Argus / AS The Argus is a hand launched SUAV that is being designed with a morphing planform to further increase flight efficiency under a variety of environmental conditions. In addition, this air vehicle is developed with multifunctional structure to maximize flight time and payload capacity. Antenna made of structural lightweight materials acts as both reinforcing and radiating elements.
